Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for the training and daily direction of accounting department personnel, task prioritization and work load balancing of the team. This person will be responsible for reviewing various account reconciliations and daily reports. The accounting Supervisor will be interacting with other internal and external departments.


Essential duties & responsibilities include the following:

  • Review and Approve coding.
  • Review Ledgers.
  • Prepare and Approve Manual Journal Entries.
  • Participate in Special Projects as necessary.
  • Provide guidance on internal operations of accounting functions.
  • Promote a cooperative and productive work environment.
  • Develop and enhance processes and controls to maintain the integrity of IRIS USA, Inc. financials
  • Provide analytical support as requested.

 

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Finance Desired
  • Minimum of three (5) years’ experience in Reporting, Consolidation and Financial Analysis

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge of office management principles, methods, and procedures
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, personnel, and fiscal management

Skilled in:

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point; Email and Internet
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, planning and management skills
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and technical skills required.

Ability to:

  • Apply strategic planning foresight as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills
  • Exercise good judgement and maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
  • Ability to travel for training and work
